Welcome to Proper Attire. My name is Delwin Lam and I'm the founder of this mission-driven golf clothing brand based in Toronto, ON. Here's the story behind it all, I hope you enjoy.

I've always been someone who loves to try new things. During the pandemic with not much else to do, I picked up my Dad's old golf clubs and gave the driving range a shot. The sport quickly captured my heart - the strategy, mental toughness, and the exhilaration of hitting the ball just right. Soon enough, I found myself at my local golf club almost every day.

But as much as I enjoyed the game, I struggled with the traditional dress code that golf courses enforced. Collared shirts and plain khakis might be "proper golf attire," but they didn't reflect my sense of style or individuality. As someone who appreciates fashion and wears brands like Nocta, Arc'teryx, and Stone Island to showcase my sense of style, "proper golf attire" never matched my closet.

I'll never forget the day when I was told, "YOU'RE CLEARLY NEW, YOU CAN'T WEAR YOUR HAT BACKWARDS HERE." That was the day I decided to create Proper Attire - a golf clothing brand that will challenge the outdated standard of what golf attire should look like.

Proper Attire represents the new era of golfers. A community that bridges the gap between streetwear, athleisure, and golfwear. We're committed to promoting inclusivity and diversity for those who dare to challenge the status quo and showcase their unique style on the golf course. Our brand is for the young, rebellious, and confident golfers who want to stand out from the crowd. We believe that everyone should be able to express themselves, showcase their individuality, and feel confident and comfortable in what they wear while playing golf.

Soon enough, it'll be time to replace your white polo and black "Titleist" hat you wear to every tee time. We're about to revolutionize what "Proper Attire" means.
